The camera is pointed approximately east towards the towers on the east end of Collins Street Melbourne. The tower on the left is 120 Collins Street, the tower on the right is 101 Collins Street.
The home automation Windows Service as part of its duties
calls FFmpeg
every 15 minutes to capture the images from a
Tapo C210
camera. Images are saved to local disk and file names
saved in the home automation system database. Once per day the 24 hour .mp4 time lapse is constructed, again, using FFmpeg.
During darker hours the nearby Wi-Fi lights are automagically switched off before the snapshot is taken, they don't always get the message leading to the occasional reflection.
